Three Ways to Improve Creativity in Pole Dance

Dancers ask me all of the time for tips on how they can improve their creativity when it comes to choreography. I often refer to these three tips that have helped me expand my own thinking,

• Forget about the spectacle – stop getting lost in tricks
• Create for yourself, not your audience or Instagram – remember what feels good and why you dance in the first place.
• Challenge your perception of what you think pole dance is – approach the practice in a way that is suited to your values, physicality and taste in aestheti
